Why do you like teaching at The Master’s School?
“I don’t just like teaching at The Master’s School, I love teaching and working here at The Master’s School because of the students and faculty that I interact with daily. I can walk in to the building after a hard morning and instantly be welcomed with hugs and smiles from our students or know I can talk to any teacher on campus for prayer and support. This place truly is set apart from other schools and businesses in the way we care for each other, we aren’t just co-workers, but family who spend day in and day out together, working together for the good of the students we come in contact with and desiring to know and serve our families well.” - TMS Faculty/Staff

How has The Master’s School impacted the life of your family?
"Two years ago our daughter announced to us that she decided to transfer to Master's. In commonly used recent vernacular, it was a game changer. What sets TMS students apart?
“The students care about ALL other students AND their teachers. I love to see the students interact. At other schools, I felt like a non-person (only a “teacher”). Here, I feel like a whole person because of the way the students treat me.” - Current Middle School Teacher

Why do you like teaching at The Master’s School?

What would you tell another student, who goes to another school, to encourage them to consider The Master’s School?
“I would say that the academics are excellent, and the teachers challenge you but also genuinely care about you. The community here is a blessing. You have people who care about you and are there for you praying for you. It is more than just a class here. The classes are hands-on and fun. Spiritually, it is impossible not to grow here. They prepare you for life and the spiritual struggles that come with it. They help you mature and prepare for your life after high school.” - Current Upper School Student

“I attended Master's for fifteen years. My story at The Master’s School is less a story of a change of course as it is the formation of one. Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite. What impact has this teacher had on your life?
“She does an amazing job of teaching, but she also gets to know each of her students on a personal level. She understands and helps us with the quirks and imperfections we have and brightens everyone’s day. She has helped me make progress in controlling myself and not shouting out constantly.” - Current Middle School Student

What would you tell another parent who is considering The Master’s School for their child(ren)?
“My son started at the Master’s school for the Early Childhood Program (ECP). Our plan was to have him there for ECP and then send him to public school for kindergarten since we live in an area with highly rated schools. However, he’s in 3rd grade and he’s still there. I couldn’t imagine him going anywhere else! The community is so nurturing, calm, and loving. The academics are excellent, and the teachers are highly qualified. I really feel like the school educates the whole child. Every time I go there for a conference, I cry tears of joy. The child who entered this school at age 4 is not the child I have now. My son has high functioning autism. This summer, our pediatrician (who initially suspected the diagnosis) was so blown away by his progress. He said that he would not have suspected autism now! I owe a lot of this to the help and support from The Master’s School. This past year, my daughter joined the 5th grade class. I have never seen her so enthusiastic about learning. I really can’t say enough good things about this school. The words I have cannot do it justice. If you want a small, caring, and academically challenging atmosphere for your child, then you should take a serious look at The Master’s School.” - Current TMS Parent

“That they teach the principles of God as well as display the heart of God in their everyday interaction with each other and their students. What sets TMS students apart from students in other schools?
“TMS students are different from other students in the way they interact with each other. They are taught from an early age how to problem solve and work out their problems together, how to advocate for themselves so they are being treated the way they deserve to be treated and how to “close the loop” with any issues they have in class. With consistent care and attention from their teachers, they are able to talk to each other and solve many of their problems on their own, often initiating conversations to better their classroom community. Students here genuinely care for each other, whether it be through a standing ovation for a student who has been out sick for a few days or with the hugs and smiles they greet each other with in the morning. Students here show the love of Christ to each other and their teachers on a daily basis." – Current Faculty Member

“Enriching – The word makes me think of rich soil, the type that allows for plants to grow and plentiful harvests. This is a safe, supportive, God centered school that will enrich all of our students lives and give them a sure foundation for whatever God has called them to.” – Current Faculty Member

What do you love most about The Master’s School?
“In my old school, people would bully each other for not nice reasons. For years I tried to convince my parent to come to The Master’s School. The day I found out I was finally going, I was over the top excited because I knew that at this school, everyone would be treated fairly.” – Current Middle School Student

Share a story that describes what The Master's School is all about.
"During a particularly harsh storm, a student who was dealing with many difficulties of his own reached out to a teacher to make sure that teacher was all right. With no thought of compensation, the student spent an entire day chopping up fallen trees so the teacher and his family could return home. This type of connection between faculty and students is what The Master's School is all about." – Current Faculty Member

"My favorite teacher is so nice and patient. He has taught us a lot about being a Christian. As a non-religious person, I still think a lot about the Bible and combining it with real life. I have learned a lot from that." – Current International Student
