Academics

Academics at Master's

The advantages of a small, independent school are fully realized at The Master’s School. Because we know students well, we can, and do, draw out each individual’s areas of strength and offer support in areas of challenge. Teaching to the child and not to the test, we have the flexibility to meet students where they are and individualize within classes, within disciplines, and within divisions to maximize academic achievement.

Our Faculty

The Master’s School faculty, (Preschool through Upper School), is comprised of 30 teachers. Our faculty have an average of over 12 years experience, over 45% of which have been at The Master’s School. All of our teachers have undergraduate degrees and 45% hold a master’s degree or Ph.D. Faculty and staff have been recognized among their peers with achievements such as Teaching Excellence Awards, Who’s Who in American Teachers, National Endowment Grants, and Early Childhood Education/Special Education Book Awards. Teachers have had articles and music published nationally and have been elected to professional associations and community leadership positions.
The Master’s School is an independent, college-preparatory, non-denominational Christian day school enrolling children in preschool through post-graduate in West Simsbury, CT.

The Master's School is fully accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

The Master's School opens its doors to all qualified students regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, or religious affiliation.
