The MS Lions had a challenging first outing against ECA. The Falcons opened the scoring with a strong finish, and the added to the score with a tap in after an excellent challenge from goalkeeper Cam Peters (6 saves). A 2-0 halftime defecit snowballed into six as the Lions legs gave way. Despite the barrage of goals, standout performances came from the defensive pair of Leah Langlois and Joy Whang. Nonetheless midfielder Ben Yawingu earned Man of the Match honors with his relentless effort despite the heat and exhaustion. Ben ran until he couldn't any more - an inspiring effort!
